The Opportunity

The Food & Beverage Director is the leader responsible for the overall food and beverage experience at Hidden Glen Golf Club. This role provides strategic direction, hands-on leadership, and operational oversight for all dining at the clubhouse, events, and tournaments.

You will lead, coach, and develop the Head Chef and kitchen team, while also leading Front of House Leads and FOH staff, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and shared accountability across all food and beverage operations. This is a highly visible leadership role that sets the tone for service, teamwork, and member experience.

What You’ll Do

Lead With All Hands In

· Lead and hold accountable all food and beverage leaders and teams, including the Head Chef, kitchen staff, FOH Leads, servers and bartenders.

· Be present, approachable, and hands-on during service, events, and peak periods.

· Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and performance-manage all seasonal and year-round F&B staff.

· Establish clear roles, expectations, operating procedures, and work schedules across BOH and FOH.

· Work collaboratively with Accounting and Finance to align operational decisions with budget goals and shared accountability.

· Lead food and beverage cost oversight in partnership with Accounting and Finance, proactively reviewing trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

· Establish clear F&B inventory standards and processes, fostering shared ownership and accountability.

· Active involvement in the upgrade and ongoing oversight of Jonas POS, partnering across teams to ensure systems support, accurate reporting, efficient workflows, and team success.

· Define and maintain role-based Jonas POS access and security levels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and appropriate controls for all team members.

Put Members First

· Ensure an excellence-level dining and hospitality experience for members and guests at all times.

· Partner closely with the Head Chef and FOH leadership to ensure seamless service flow, continual training, menu execution, and event delivery.

· Oversee a la carte dining, banquets, golf outings, tournaments, and special events.

· Address member feedback proactively and professionally, turning insights into improvements.

· Evaluate the financial performance and ROI of events and tournaments to ensure offerings align with member expectations and long-term sustainability.

Reach Out and Connect

· Foster connection and communication between kitchen and FOH teams. Bring kitchen and FOH leaders together to collaborate on menus, events, and service execution, creating a unified team and a consistent member experience.

· Serve as a connector between ownership, leadership, and food & beverage teams.

· Lead with empathy, clarity, and consistency to build trust and engagement.

· Encourage creativity in menus, events, and service experiences while maintaining consistency and quality.

· Create an environment where teams feel energized, equipped, supported, and proud of their work.

Additional Operational & Financial Responsibilities

· Support sales productivity and event booking in coordination with leadership.

· Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures, food safety, wage and hour laws, and alcohol regulations.

· Revise and implement policies in alignment with ownership and club leadership.

· Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure a safe, compliant working environment.

What You Bring

· 5+ years of senior leadership experience in food & beverage, hospitality, private club, restaurant, event management, or resort operations.

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive leadership experience in food and beverage or club operations.
